Do a search in any Swedish website that offers jobs and you'll see that the vast majority of them require Swedish spoken and written. It's like a non written rule that most people don't know because many foreigners think that with English is more than enough but the reality is you can communicate in English with almost anybody in Sweden, but when it's about finding a job, it is almost impossible to find employment unless you speak Swedish fluently.
Most companies won't even look at you Cv if they see you don't speak Swedish. I have met engineers looking for jobs for two years and with no Swedish spoken and they had to leave because it's like hitting a wall.
The few companies that don't ask for that requirement and are more flexible are usually international companies. Like Volvo and such. There you have the highest chances because they are looking for foreigners and usually English is more accepted in the work place. But the general sentiment in Sweden is that without Swedish you won't be able to work even flipping burgers. I have lived in Sweden for 3 years and I have been even called by recruiters saying that they liked my CV but in order to even consider my application I had to tell them if I spoke Swedish So you get an idea what's like in Sweden.
